Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies

This cookie recipe is a chocolate variation of our favorite peanut butter cookie recipe.

Go ahead, help yourself. They’re oh-so-very good. Please be cautious though… For next thing you know, you’ll have eaten far too many and have yourself quite a tummy ache! Not that we would know anything about that! *ahem*

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies
Makes approximately 4 doz. cookies
- 1 1/2 C Sugar
- 1 Tbs Molasses
- 1/2 C Shortening
- 1 Egg
- 3 Tbs Milk
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1 C Peanut Butter (we use creamy)
- 1/2 C Cocoa Powder
- 1 1/4 C Flour
- 1/2 tsp Sea Salt
- Preheat oven to 375 F.
- Mix sugar, molasses, shortening, milk, vanilla, and peanut butter in the bowl of a stand mixer (or use a hand mixer). Add egg and mix.
- Add salt and flour. Mix.
- Drop by spoonful onto cookie sheet lined with silicone mat (or parchment paper). Press with fork.
- Bake for 7 minutes. Be careful not to over-bake!
- Let cool on cookie sheet then transfer to an airtight container.
- Enjoy!
